Since 2004 we have been in Railway Track maintenance work at various places. Our major clients are M/s Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd , M/s KIOCL, M/s New Mangalore Port Trust,Udupi Power corporation ltd,. Some of these lines are in our intensive and constant vigilant round the clock throughout the year for safe and timely movements of cargo.
There are separate teams for each location with a well experienced supervisor who are ex – railway employees. Below we mention a few activities which we do in day to day work.
- Handling of any derailment take place including repairing of damaged track etc. carryout derailment of wagons or engines through railway if required. In case of derailment additional manpower may have to be arranged for derailment at the cost of the Contractor.
Examination of Rails sleepers and fastening; Rail should be examined for any cracks and any other defects marked and brought to the notice of the Railway Inspector in charge at site. All loose fittings shall be tightened and to ensure the track for regular traffic.
- Squaring of sleepers; All sleepers shall be square to the track and to correct spacing squaring should be done by planting crow bars family against sleepers and pushing it under no circumstances the sleepers shall be hammered.
- Slowing of track to correct alignment; slowing of track shall be directly made on straight, shall sight the inner rail land adjust the rail according to degree of curvature.
- Gauging of track: GUAGE SHALL BE EXACT OR NEAR GUAGE OF 1660MM FOR BG AND 1000MM FOR MG ON STRAIGHT AND SLUCK as provided in curve shall be uniform. In points and kings gauge shall be exact except at toe where it can be kept 600 slack.
- Packing of sleepers: Base rails shall be sighted and any dip or low joint shall be lifted correctly. Adjacent sleepers shall then be packed and top checked. After the rail lengths have been attended to rail on the other side be brought to correct level using spirit level Land straight edge. Cross levels shall be checked at over 4th sleepers. The next two rail lengths shall then be taken up and process continued.
- Repacking of joints sleepers: The joint and shoulder sleepers shall be repacked and cross levels corrected before boxing of ballast.
- In points and crossings all fitting be tightened. Gauge shall be exact at all places except at top of switch where stack gauge of 6mm shall be kept. All check rail and nose and clearance be to standard as per Schedule of dimensions.
- Arrange and carryout cleaning job of grass, shrub and small plants with the complete siding and also along the track.
- Arrange to co ordinate with PWI/APWI station Master, Mangalore. Assistant Engineer(S.R) Mangalore. DRM(Southern Railways) Palghat to obtain necessary clearance for repairing maintenance on the main track.
-Carryout inspection of all the point and crossings daily and oiling, greasing the same on regular basis. The Key man shall report daily at the Railway Yard Master’s office and sign the register maintained there before attending the work

Laying of New Track , Gauge conversation, shifting of pointing cross, extension of track lines to adjust the new platform & other Rigid Railway Construction jobs. These works were carried out without hampering the daily track movements for clients like Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd, Udupi Power Corporation Ltd, KIOCL.
We undertake realigning of Re claimer track inside KIOCL Pallet plant, Panambur. Laying of crane rail (CR80 rails) for slip way, so to launch ships.
